Pain with a Purpose

Jesus became touched with the Feelings of our infirmities. He who knew no pain, became aquainted with the disappointments and sorrow that this fallen world offers the fleshly nature.  But Jesus didn't seek the counterfeit comforters that could have temporary assauged the pain of rejection, disappointment, lack, etc. He didn't focus on what He deserved or what was rightfully His; rather He subjected Himself to God's pleasure. Jesus kept His eyes on the Prize of pleasing His Father, doing His will, knowing that it had future purpose and glory written all over it. Imagine how easy it would have been for Him, who had authority to beckon legions of angels to His attention, to justifiably seek and execute vengeneance on those who disappointed Him. That could have just been one of the many things He did to "Show out"; proving His identity to get the respect He so rightfully deserved. Rather, Jesus didn't despise the will of His Father out of substantiated reason that it was "too hard" or simply "sinful mankind wasn't worthy of  it'. And if Jesus had any "Why  Me?" or "Why" questions--He didn't go around seeking comfort through other's by invoking their pity or sympathy. Nor did He vent His frustrations at God for the sufferings He was called to face. He knew the answer to the "Why?" questions because He was digilent to stay in the Father's will through daily prayer, and He took heed to His Father's Wisdom. So any unexpected happenings or turns, were just auxillary tools to fulfill the will of God in His life. And the Bible assures us of the same hope and the same calling. We are called to deny our own 'rights and priveledges" in order for the Kingdom of God to manifest on the Earth. And as we deny ourselves to seek the Lord's Presence in Prayer and Wisdom in His Word, then we can rest assured that our lives are in His Hands.  And though, things don't always go as we expect or want, but ..... "... we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Rom 8:28) Because, for us too--there is a Greater Future Glory--He is our Prize, our Reward, Our All in All, whom we will be glorified together with".... if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."(Romans 8:17)
